Do you do Modulation ?

What is  Modulation ?

I did some reading before writing this because I thought it’s much easier just to copy what somebody else wrote but all those smart people out there use words nobody can understand and I want to explain this as simple as possible for the average Joe to understand.

What we call “Modulation” or “to modulate” is simply taking the output signal from one device, converting it to another matching the cable system we use in CR. If we have several devices we need several modulators with individual output channels. In case of a combination between cable and satellite receivers we take the cable signal, cut it off with a filter at a certain channel, combine it with the output from the modulators, amplify it again and split it to the individual TV’s, basically generate additional channels in the already existing TV cable network.

Normally your cable has channels from 2 to 117, we combine this signal with the modulated once and you will receive additional channels on your TV, let’s say 2 to 120. The 3 new channels is the output signal from your satellite receiver which can be seen on all TV’s connected in your place. This is very useful if you have a hotel, bar, call center or any other place with many TV’s and addition signals coming from satellites, top set boxes, cameras, internet devices, computer or simply a DVD player running advertising for you on your mini cable network.

Follow the link below to see a setup we just did with 30 modulated channels. 14 signals from Dish Network, 9 from DirecTV and 7 waiting for Sky, Video cameras, or other devices to come. In this case we cut the cable signal at channel 86 and started feeding the modulated channels from 100 to 130.
